Wavy Baby Cutting & Charcuterie Board 🌊🪵✨

Sometimes you just gotta know when to stop.

If you’re new here, I show my whole making process online! The designing, cutting, glue-ups, sanding, finishing—the whole journey from a pile of wood to the finished piece.

While I was sharing the process of making my Daytripper Board, someone caught a glimpse of what it looked like partway through and said:

“HEY! I actually like it just like that! Can I have it like that? Can you just... stop there?”

And I said, “I got you, baby.”

And that’s how Wavy Baby was born. 🌊

WAVY BABY 🌊✦

The design uses the natural contrast between dark walnut and light maple to create that big, flowing waves.

No paint. No stain. That contrast is all wood, baby. 🪵

And because the pattern originally came from the middle of another build, I love that Wavy Baby has this wonderfully simple look compared to some of my more complicated designs.

Someone saw something they liked and told me DON’T TOUCH IT. I do always tend to go a little... overboard. Lol.

Wavy Baby is a real hardwood cutting board, so please actually use it! 🔪🪵

Use it for everyday chopping and prep, bring it out as a serving board, or fill it with cheese, crackers, fruit, snacks and all your favorite charcuterie goodies. 🧀🍇✨

And when you're finished using it, prop it up on your counter and let that walnut and maple wave do its thing.

One of my favorite things about making my work online is that you guys actually get to be part of the process.

You see the experiments. You see things halfway finished. You see the decisions I make along the way, and every once in a while, somebody sees something in a piece before I do.

And I think that's pretty special.

MADE TO ORDER ✦

Each Wavy Baby is made by me, Brandy! Most items are made to order, so please allow 2–3 weeks for me to create yours. If I already have one in stock, I'll ship it right away.

Because I'm working with real walnut and maple, the grain and coloring will naturally vary from board to board. Your wave will have its own little personality depending on what the trees give me and where my wrists freely move the wood in the bandsaw . 🌳🪵

CARE ✦

Hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water and dry thoroughly. DO NOT put your Wavy Baby in the dishwasher or leave it soaking in the sink. Water and wood do not mesh!

Store your board on its side so air can circulate around it. Re-oil as needed with a food-safe cutting board oil and wax to help repel moisture, condition the wood, and keep that walnut and maple looking its best. 🪵✨
