I promise I made it's structurally sound... this side table just looks a little wobbly.

The Day Tripper Table is a 15.5" solid hardwood side table made from naturally contrasting walnut and maple. The warped checkerboard pattern is created by carefully cutting and piecing the two hardwoods together. No paint or stain!

Add the 19" black steel hairpin legs and you've got a little piece of functional art that might make you question your eyesight, but not your taste. 😝

A LITTLE FUNCTIONAL ART ✦

At 15.5" across, Day Tripper is compact enough to tuck into smaller spaces while still making a pretty big visual impact.

Use it next to your couch or favorite chair, beside your bed, as an accent table, or as a plant stand. 🪴 If you're putting a plant on it, be sure to use a moisture barrier underneath the pot and saucer to protect the wood from sneaky water damage.

The wavy walnut and maple pattern makes it interesting enough to stand on its own as a piece of functional wood art, because furniture can do its job without being boring. 😎

NO PAINT, JUST WOOD ✦

That checkerboard pattern isn't printed or painted onto the surface. It's created by piecing together naturally light maple and dark walnut hardwoods to create the contrast.

And because I'm working with real wood, every Day Tripper is going to look a little different. Grain, figuring, and natural color variation will change from table to table, making each one its own little optical illusion. 🌀🪵

WANT A MATCHING PAIR? ✦

Here's a fun fact! Because of the way I make the Day Tripper pattern, I can make you two tables that are exact matches, but with the wood colors inverted. 🌀🫶

I cut the walnut and maple together at the same time, which creates two matching sets of pieces. One table gets the walnut and maple in one arrangement, and its partner gets the exact same pattern with the woods swapped!

They're like fraternal twins for your living room. 😎

Each Day Tripper Table is designed and handmade by me, Brandy! Most items are made to order, so please allow 2–3 weeks for me to create yours. If I already have one in stock, I'll ship it right away.

Because real wood is naturally unique, grain and color will vary slightly from table to table, making each one a little different. 🫶

CARE ✦

Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth as needed and avoid leaving standing water on the wood.

To condition and refresh the finish, use Walrus Oil Furniture Polish as needed. It'll help protect the wood, repel moisture, and keep that walnut and maple grain looking its best. ✨
