After dozens of requests for an everyday board to cut on without as much guilt, something a little more simple, a little more practical, and perhaps not shaped like a hot dog, cloud, rainbow, or whatever else doesn't necessarily scream "cutting board"...

I present: Plain Jane. 👋🪵

Straight to the point. No funny business. Plain Jane is my simple, classic 8" × 16.5" cutting & charcuterie board, made from your choice of beautiful hardwoods with a single juice groove and a built-in hole for hanging.

This design was previously called The Notebook, but once Piece of Paper Board joined the family, things started getting a little confusing. New name, same good board. Plain Jane gets straight to business.

The 8" × 16.5" size gives you plenty of room for everyday chopping and prep without requiring half your countertop, while the single juice groove helps keep whatever you're cutting from making a mess.

And when you're finished? Use the built-in hole to hang it up instead of sacrificing precious cabinet space.

Plain Jane can be made in a variety of hardwoods, so while the shape may be simple, the wood doesn't have to be. 🪵✨

Choose your favorite and let the natural grain and color of the wood do all the showing off.

I'll email you to confirm which wood type you would like. My selections are: Mahogany, cherry, maple and walnut* (*for an additional fee of $20)

Each Plain Jane Board is designed and handmade by me, Brandy! Most items are made to order, so please allow approximately 2–3 weeks for me to create yours. If I already have one in stock, I'll ship it right away.

Because real wood is naturally unique, grain and color will vary from board to board, making every Plain Jane not quite so plain after all. 😎

CARE ✦

Hand wash with mild soap and water, then dry completely. DO NOT soak your Plain Jane Board or put it in the dishwasher.

I recommend regularly treating it with Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil to condition the wood and help repel moisture, followed by Walrus Oil Wood Wax if you'd like a little extra protection.

Nothing complicated. Plain Jane wouldn't have it any other way. 🪵
