Hey, I'm Brandy!
I went to school for design at CSULB. Here I learned graphics design, rendering, hand drawing, model building, and branding.
I've always wanted to be an artist. Design seemed like the best artistic avenue to get a "real job". Turns out I couldnt shake the artist out of myself and sit in a desk or on a computer for lng periods of time. I waned to make things with my hands! That unstisfied feeling all faded away when I found woodworking. In woodworking, I discovered I could make objects that I could dream up, on the spot!
I have always been a hands on person. When I have an idea, I want to be able to see it through from start to finish. With the help of my father, I started collecting tools off of craigslist. Learning the new tools and skills as I went along. I fell in love with each new tool! I've been collecting and learning ever since.
I recently moved into a warehouse after working out of my crumbling 100 year old garage.
Why cutting boards?
The truth is, I'd rather make a lot of small things, for more people, than a single large item. I also love that I can ship my items at an affordable price! I want every household to be able to own my fun and unique items.
I want to bring the FUN to woodworking! Woodworking has been around for thousands of years. A lot of people take it VERY seriously. I am not one of those people. I want woodworking to be accessible to all people, especially women. I try to make videos that explain my process in a non-intimidating way. Never hesitate to reach out to me with questions!
